We all know that Titts has a love for all foods strange after seeing him down a live octopus and behead a chicken for dinner. This time Tittsworth had a snake feast that included everything from the heart to the bile!
I first started hitting up Seasonal Pantry, a locally sourced food market/supper club near the DC convention center, a few weeks ago. Ever since it’s kind of been like an obsession.
Imagine the excitement and chatter during our weekly meeting when I mentioned that I had read about a group of gluttons in New York dubbed The Gastronauts, a dining club that does not try “to eat Fear Factor stuff, but to get people away from solely eating foods they were comfortable with.”
During a late trek to Shawafel on H street post the street festivities, I spoke to the owner Alberto Sissi and learned that he studied the craft of lamb shwarma in one of Paris’ most notable Kebab shops. I’ve been going to Paris for over 10 years for music and have found this particular bit of off street fare a necessity.
It seems that whenever this man is on tour, he has to find the most barbaric ways to eat his meals. It is said in many cultures however that killing what you eat makes you that much closer to your meals because value every bite you take.
Members of The Explorers Club range from the first to the North Pole to the person who dived the deepest in the ocean. Despite all the formalities and awards, The Explorers Club was pretty much the original Titts Team!
Whilst perusing the internets with the wife we ran across this goodie. Food adventurists should dig this.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of having sea food as fresh as possible. Eating the undead however is something that’s a bit strange, even for me.
Pop into Nam Son for some steamed bird nest, duck tongue stir fry, or just a laugh at the tropical decor.
